Parks & Blooms

Discover the beauty of St. Louis Metro natural areas

My adventures began in Spring 2020 while many activities were canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic. I started visiting various parks and gardens to get some exercise and lift my spirits. I like taking pictures of flowers and other scenic views, and I began sharing some of them on Facebook. Many of my friends expressed enjoyment of my photos and encouraged me to keep posting them.

Since I live in Missouri, this website focuses mostly on parks in St. Louis and surrounding counties. I have included all parks that contain something of interest, such as a garden, walking trail and/or lake. There are many more parks than I have listed, especially if you're looking for a playground or sports fields. I have included links to each town's parks & recreation department if I could find that information, so you can get a complete listing of each area's parks.

All photos on this site were taken by me (except the ones on this page where I am pictured). My hope is that people viewing the photos will find a little uplift, and my lists of locations will be useful for those who are looking for somewhere to go and enjoy nature.
